Lash Removal - Banana Peel Method

There are a variety of reasons why you may need to remove a single lash extension from a natural lash where a cream or gel remover wouldn't be the appropriate method to use.

  • The extension isn't sitting right on the natural lash.
  • The extension is outgrown and needs to be removed.
  • Your client has a reaction to the sensitive test and the skin on the eyelid looks raw, red or irritated.

Here are the steps to follow when using the Banana Peel Method.

  1. Using the tweezer in your dominate hand, pinch the top of the extension you wish to remove and bend it towards you.  This will expose the top of the natural lash that is joined to the extension you wish to remove.
  2. With the tweezer in your non-dominate hand, pinch the top of the exposed natural lash.
  3. Carefully (and slowly) peel them apart.
  4. Repeat these steps on any other extension you wish to remove.
